GODSPELL
"This ain't your parents musical, honey." Rick Andersons' Gaydar Productions took a fresh look at an old favorite. John Trones played the role of Jesus in this updated look at John Michael-Tebelak's book and Stephen Schwartz's music. Included in this stage version was the song "Beautiful City", from the film. Taking place in a gay bar, this Godspell included drag queens, a gay couple, lesbian couple, straight couple and a theatre critic.
